Mr. Hussey has over 40 years experience in executive management, finance and turnarounds in a variety of business sectors, including aerospace, automotive, electronics and consumer products.
As Chairman and CEO of Spectrum Brands, a $3 billion consumer products company, he implemented a complete operational and financial restructuring of the company during 2007-2009. During this period, adjusted EBITDA increased from $237m to $358m, and debt was reduced from $2.7 billion to $1.8 billion through a legal restructuring.
Prior to joining Spectrum as chief financial officer in 1996, Mr. Hussey served as executive vice president of finance and CFO of ECC International, a global producer of industrial minerals and specialty chemicals. He directed expansion programs in Far East, Australia and New Zealand to capture emerging business opportunities.
Mr. Hussey was vice president of finance and CFO of The Regina Company, president, COO and CFO of Astechnologies, and has held financial management positions for The Conair Group, United Technologies Corp., Fairchild Industries Corp. and Grumman Aerospace Corp.
Mr. Hussey earned his bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Rochester and his Master of Business from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
